There is plenty to keep you all entertained at this family-friendly resort. The beach is close at hand and there are multiple pools, a fully equipped, state-of-the-art gym and fitness centre with regular group classes. Choose from one of the five eateries: La Med serving Mediterranean cuisine, a beachside bar and grille, the on-site sports bar or the Marketplace - perfect for snacks, cold drinks, ice cream and necessities. There’s also an elegant outdoor chill-out bar and restaurant. The Kid's Club will keep the little ones entertained with games and activities and The Den is great for teenagers.

THE ACCOMMODATION

1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are available at the Marbella Beach Resort. All the spacious apartments have separate comfortably furnished living and dining spaces and fully equipped kitchens with laundry facilities. The stylish bedrooms and elegant bathrooms have been beautifully designed. All the apartments have private balconies.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartments and satellite TV and DVDs are available.

THE AREA

Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort is located in Elviria, a popular and lively vacation and residential area on the Costa del Sol. The nearest airport is Malaga- 45 km (27 miles) away. There are plenty of shopping facilities, restaurants and bars and all the amenities you could need. The area is surrounded by a UNESCO biosphere reserve - La Sierra de las Nieves.

The resort is just a ten-minute drive from the centre of the bustling town of Marbella with it's pretty cobbled streets around Orange Square and it's stylish eateries on the promenade. Take a 40 minute drive to Malaga and you can enjoy a visit to the Alcazaba, the Roman Ruins, Picasso Museum and the bustling Atarazanas Market. Take a stroll through the historic town centre or the newly opened port area with its huge array of shopping and dining facilities.

Also within striking distance of the resort is the historic hill town of Ronda and the surrounding pueblos blancos (white villages). Also the unique UK overseas territory of Gibraltar (don't forget Your passport) is well worth a visit as is the fascinating town of Granada with the famous Alhambra.

For the more adventurous family members, take a trip to the Camino del Rey (the King's Walkway) and, closer to the resort, Amazonia Adventura - a treetop adventure park and the Costa Water Park on the beach in Elviria. There are three golf courses located in Elviria: Santa Maria Golf & Country Club, Greenlife Golf Club and El Soto Golf & Country Club. Tennis is also popular and there are courts at the Don Carlos hotel and the Hoffman Tennis Academy in La Mairena.
